It makes you feel old ….

The lovely thing about this business is all the people that stay in touch with us!  Many couples come back with new arrivals to their family to have them photographed in our studio and it is really nice to follow families through and stay such good friends. We have also had several kind invitations this year to go out and stay at the homes of couples from abroad whose weddings we have covered.

We had an email this week from a couple whose wedding Mark photographed in 2003 and they attached an up-to-date photograph of their kids.  and oh, that made us feel old!

Mark’s a winner at the British Professional Photography Awards!!!

Phew ….. just recovering from celebrating!  On Sunday night we were invited to the Hilton in Newcastle for the 2008 British Professional Photography Awards.  Hundreds of professional photographers from around the world were joined by representatives from the major photographic companies at the glittering Awards ceremony.

Anyway, to explain the cause of the celebrations, Mark was the winner of the 2008 Fujifilm Licentiate Competition.  Even better, he won a trip to Las Vegas! We go in February to attend the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Convention where an exhibition of the competition winners will be touring to.

Thanks to Pamela for looking so gorgeous on her wedding day that the judges awarded her image this top prize!!

VOWS Awards Nomination!

We have just heard that we have been nominated for a VOWS Award!  VOWS stands for ‘Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier’ and are voted for by the public nominating their favourite wedding suppliers - by brides, grooms and members of the bridal party involved in a wedding over the past year.  A pre-requisite to becoming a VOWS finalist or winner is to provide a consistent level of outstanding service to your bridal clients and so we are really chuffed to have been nominated!  Thanks to everyone who voted for us and keep your fingers crossed for the final judging in November!
