Gerry Rafferty Remembered at Celtic Connections 2012 | Music Photography

This was a classic night at Celtic Connections 2012 with an amazing line up of artists.  Jack Bruce of Cream, Ron Sexsmith, The Proclaimers, James Vincent McMorrow and others came together for this night to remember Gerry Rafferty.  It’s easy to forget how many other great songs Gerry Rafferty wrote when two were so famous.  The unexpected highlight of the night was the voice of James Vincent McMorrow – worth a listen if you haven’t come across him before.

Photodocumentary of Nuala Kennedy and the band

The gorgeous Nuala is an award winning traditional flautist and Irish singer now living in her adopted homeland of Scotland.  Mark met up with Nuala and her band during recordings for their forthcoming third album.  These guys are great and really put their heart and soul into making warm and imaginative music – just check out the looks of concentration!  You can find our more about Nuala’s music here and view some of our favourite images of the recording session:
