It’s great when the barrier between subject and photographer has been demolished and the presence of the camera has been completely forgotten. I need that to happen for my work to be successful. Natural emotions cannot be posed. They just look false. I’m more interested in a photograph capturing a perfect moment between people than I am in spending hours getting every crease out of a dress. I love this photograph because it conveys a real sense of the relationship between the couple and how much fun they were having.

Received an amazingly lovely email from Kev and Anna after we met up with them for their wedding photography preview on Friday night. Anna & Kev’s wedding at Fernie Castle, Fife

What a lovely email we received from Anna & Kev yesterday following their wedding on Saturday at Fernie Castle.

“Donna and Mark, hello there, just wanted to drop a wee line to say thank you so much!!! Mark you were absolutely fantastic on the day, so many people commented on how lovely you were and how fab they think the photos are going to be.
So sorry we didn’t have a chance to say goodbye, hope you had a good time with us. We had a such a fabulous day and you really helped us to relax and have a good time! Can’t wait to see the photos!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so so so much again and we’ll speak when we’re back from honeymoon!”

Mark had really good fun with you guys and got on really well with you both. What a lovely mixture of different types of people you had at the wedding and all your guests seemed to have a ball. We’ll be in touch before too long – have a great honeymoon!
