The “Beast from the East” storm has been blowing through Crawford this week. The schools are closed. Fires are lit inside homes. Huge icicles are forming. Drams are being poured. Ridiculous balaclavas are being worn (by me). The fast flowing Clyde is frozen at her banks. Boots which are supposed to be waterproof are being discovered to be the opposite. The bitter east wind is howling through letterboxes. 100 cars stranded overnight on the motorway. It is, indeed, a beast.
My camera and I tamed the beast for a while before it chased us back home.
