The 365 project. A year of Archibald Photography in photographs.
January 9. The mysterious and locally legendary fairy gate. The children around Crawford have a fascination with this old iron gate with it’s tiny padlock. I don’t know why it is there or who made it and I don’t really think I want to know. That is what imaginations are for. There are only two things I know for certain…if you pass and the gate is open it means the fairies are in the wood behind and you should close the gate. And the old tree which stands in the field behind the wood will grant a child’s wish if they run around it three times. I don’t know any more. I simply report the facts as soon as I’ve made them up.
