Marianne and Gordon live in New York City (lucky things!) and chose us for their Turnberry wedding photography based on the style of our images that they viewed online and a personal recommendation they had received. Marianne told us “once we met Mark months later, we knew we had made the right choice. He was laid-back, yet professional – and even made my mom ‘see the vision’ for the wedding!”
Gordon and Marianne were overwhelmed by how much love and friendship there was with them on their wedding day. More than anything, it was incredibly special for them to know that so many friends and family had traveled from points all over the world to be with them in Scotland. Their families and friends from both sides of the Atlantic really came together and embraced all the new wedding traditions. New trans-Atlantic friendships were made and everything was really a “smashing success”.
Gordon and Marianne were pleasantly surprised by how warm and sunny it got during the cocktail hour and reception. According to Marianne “we even had to ask Turnberry to turn up the air con for us! I never would have thought that I would have been hot on my wedding day in Scotland.”
Marianne and Gordon’s wedding finished off with music from Callanish. They played everything from traditional ceilidh songs to hit American songs. Marianne told us “their range was incredible and they made the evening a success”.
They sum up the day as “magical while also so much fun”.
