I knew from every meeting with Rowan and Raymond that their wedding was going to be ultra stylish. They wanted a day filled with urban chic and had picked 29 Royal Exchange Square in Glasgow to reflect this. I love this venue and having photographed there many times before knew it was the perfect fit.
Rowan was drop dead gorgeous and could not have picked a more beautiful dress. I knew Raymond was going to be absolutely bowled over. Check out Rowan’s parents reaction when they saw her for the first time in her wedding dress:
This was one of those days in Scotland where the sun shone like it was going out of fashion and there was such a feeling of wellbeing in the air. There was nowhere in the world with better weather than Glasgow that day.
Raymond was über-cool in his suit and, again, it was perfect for a city centre wedding. I knew we were going to get some incredible shots. There is a real storytelling feel to Rowan and Raymond’s wedding photographs. They didn’t want to spend hours shepherding guests out of the party and into a hundred and one group shots. They were happier having shots of their friends and family letting their hair down. Trust me…this crowd knew how to let their hair down! We had a hilarious wander through Royal Exchange Square to capture some amazing shots of the two of them in the Glasgow sunshine against a backdrop of some of my favourite architecture in the city. Would they ever stop smiling? I guess not!
Everything went completely like clockwork all day. That is so rare! Every planet must have been in alignment. What a perfect start to married life.
