A Sikh & Hindu Fusion Wedding

Anybody who knows me well, will know that I have a deep love for Asian culture having spent a couple of years living in various locations around that vibrant continent. Having spent a few months and travelled extensively in the Indian subcontinent, I had a bit of an obsession with the vibrancy of colour and the energy and humour of the people…

One of the best experiences I had last year came in meeting Neha & Vishal and, ultimately, photographing their Sikh & Hindu fusion wedding. From a photographic perspective, this was one of the best weddings I have ever photographed and deserves several blog posts. From a people perspective, it was an incredible privilege to share three days in the lives of two genuinely lovely and generous families. I will never forget it. There were so many ceremonial aspects to the three days of photography and a huge amount of images that I would like to show and talk about (and they will have their own posts)…for now, here are a small amount of highlights. This was the hottest weekend of the year and was the first wedding ever held at Glasgow’s brand new Gurdwara. There is a gallery at the end with some further images.
