Travel Photography | Las Vegas

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…except for travel photography. We were in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the worlds biggest wedding and portrait photographer’s gathering (WPPI) on an all expenses paid celebration after we won the Licentiate competition at the British Professional Photography Awards in ’08. This was our first major photography award and will always be our favourite (because of the free travel!!! It’s all about the travel with us!).

Las Vegas is like an unlit firework during the day. Hungover gamblers and dodgy hustlers hang around underneath a cheesy replica of the Eiffel Tower. The plastic Statue of Liberty shakes her head and doesn’t quite know what to make of it all. At night everything changes.

I liked the neon at night. We sampled a bit of day once. It was overrated. We decided to stick with the night.

Vegas is kinetic at night.
